Elon Musk Hopes to Implant a Device in The Human Brain Next Year
Elon Musk, the richest person in the world and the leader of Twitter, is planning to implant a machine in the human brain. With the help of which it is possible to restore the sight of a blind person, it will even help those who are unable to move.
He announced this at an event of Elon Musk's health technology company Neuralink. He said, within the next six months, the clinical trial of this device will begin in the human brain.
However, it has not yet been approved for sale by the US Food and Drug Administration-FDA. However, Musk said that the necessary documents for approval have been submitted to the FDA.
Neuralink's device is the size of a small coin. This device has already been implanted in the monkey's brain. As a result, the monkey was seen playing games on the computer.
Beyond treating neurological diseases, Mask's goal is to ensure that artificial intelligence does not overtake humans.
In addition to Neuralink, another company called Synchron is working on implanting technology in the brain. Last July, Synchron claimed to have implanted the first brain-machine interface in the US.
