Can you die because of the GYM?
Sometimes there is news that "Famous actor dies of a heart attack while doing gym...". Not much, the famous comedian Raju died of a heart attack a few days ago. But the thing is that people go to the gym and exercise when they are fit. Will that fit cause death?
One thing we've all heard and accepted is - excess of nothing is good. To stay fit, we can do the gym, and diet to keep ourselves fit for a healthy body. But an unregulated lifestyle, not having a proper diet, and excessive exercise in the gym will never bring benefits to our bodies. Experts claim that it may lead to premature death. Excessive working out is more harmful to the heart than it helps lose weight.
As it is important to exercise in human life, it is also important to avoid excessive exercise. According to doctors, 150-300 minutes of normal exercise or 75-150 minutes of heavy exercise is enough for a fit person every day and week, and additional strength training can be taken. Eating a healthy diet is important along with exercise.
When does a heart attack happen? When a coronary artery becomes blocked or blood flow is reduced, cells in that part of the heart die. And systolic function decreases It is also called Myocardial Infarction.
A heart attack can be caused by several reasons including the accumulation of a plaque and its rupture. Plaque causes obstruction of blood flow. (Cholesterol and other substances accumulate in the coronary arteries causing plaque. This condition is called atherosclerosis. Due to the plaque, the artery narrows, and the blood flow decreases). When the plaque ruptures, blood begins to pool.
High blood pressure, smoking, diabetes, unhealthy diet, stress, insufficient sleep, or infection can cause heart inflammation. Plaque ruptures from this inflammation, then a sudden heart attack. A heart attack occurs during strenuous exercise when the blockage in the heart is not recognized beforehand, or if the person has a pre-existing heart problem. Excessive exercise can cause plaque rupture or electrical disturbances in the heart, leading to cardiac arrest.
However, excess of anything is not good, as evidenced by recent cases of heart attack deaths at the gym. Everyone should remember that external beauty should not be prioritized before the health of one's body.
